Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born March 4, 1954. She is a comedian as well as an actress and writer. O'Hara has won numerous prizes that include the Genie Award (a Golden Globe Award), two Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards. In addition, O'Hara was awarded six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018, she was named an Officer of Canada. In 2020, she received the Governor General's Performing Arts Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Awards. O'Hara made her name as an actress when she was a part of 1974 of The Second City, an Improvisational comedy troupe based out of Toronto. She was part of the main ensemble cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978) together with John Candy and Dan Aykroyd. O'Hara, Candy, and Dan Aykroyd began work in Second City Television's sketch comedy series (1976-1984). O'Hara received praise for her comic writing and acting skills which earned her a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writer for an episode of a Variety Series in 1982. O'Hara was appointed to the Second City artistic advisory panel in 2022 by Stephen Colbert. Also included were Dwayne Colbert (Steve Carell), Tina Fey and Keegan-Michael Key as well as Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows. Suzy Nakamura. Sam Richardson. Jeff Richmond. Jason Sudeikis.
